I am studying to take my insurance licensing exam for the second time :-p and I thought hey why not write some entries about the insurance stuff I learn. Hopefully I may learn the material better if I try to summarize all the rules in my own words and make them a little bit more riveting for my readers. Hopefully you all will learn something and not fall asleep :D. Tune in tomorrow for the first post(s)!

If you want some background on this phonetic alphabet madness, please see the previous post if you have not already.
Why girl names? Why not? (1) If there ever comes a time when I’ll need to give a girl name to something, I’ll have this handy list and (2) If some rude bonehead on the phone yells at you that his username is MACHOMAN27 (no offense if that is actually your username), what better way to clarify whether you’ve got it down correctly then with, “Just to clarify, that’s M as in Michelle, A as in Andrea, C as in Cecelia, H as in Hannah, O as in Ophelia, M as in Michelle, A as in Andrea, N as in Natalie, Two, Seven?”
Note: the following list is of girl names that I like, not girls. The names in the list are not necessarily attached to any particular people. Although bad experiences can always damage my opinion of a particular name. Association, association, blah. Also, if you do not see your name on this list, please do not be offended. I can only pick one name per letter, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like your name. Unless I actually don’t like your name, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like you. Unless I actually don’t like you and maybe your name too, but then why are you reading this blog?
Without further ado:
Girl Names That I Like

When you find yourself bored at work and despising the NATO phonetic alphabet, there’s only one thing to do: make your own phonetic alphabet!
We have these phonetic alphabet lists taped to the sides of our computer monitors at my school tech support job, to aid customers in typing in commands over the phone. They’re pretty useful, but sometimes you just get tired of all those Sierra’s and Tango’s and want to spice up the phone conversation a bit. Or perhaps not. But sometimes a well placed phonetic alphabet letter can disarm even the most irate of customers (note: I haven’t tested this out yet).
Aaron made a pretty snazzy animal themed phonetic alphabet. Tito and I worked on the Harry Potter alphabet. Tito also finished his old-people-names + quidditch list, while I worked on my extreme awesome list (still not done). I did manage to make a sickeningly cute list, which I may post later. Still in the pipeline are the first 150 Pokemon list and the Breakfast list (for making those early mornings even more fun!). And of course there is the infamous confusing words list, which even one of our bosses got into.
I will get to posting some/all of these lists eventually. For now, here is a list of all the phonetic alphabets we have made in order of approximate date of creation, earliest to latest:

Hey all, This is really the first post in my new WordPress blog (although technically the third). Tomorrow, er today, I will begin my new routine for the summer, which means waking up earlyish (before 10AM!) and going to sleep relatively early (before 1AM!) so that I can awaken at said earlyish time. I really want to get something accomplished this summer, so that I just don’t waste away in the depths of despondency (get it?).
Anyways, tomorrow I hope to accomplish several reasonable goals:
Hopefully, since these goals aren’t too ambitious, I can get some work done on them and not feel like a complete failure :]
And as a final treat for you readers, some organizational stuff about my various websites!
Well, thanks for reading and look forward to stuff in the coming future!
